The team of the Berlin TV tower and the guest together protect the safety of all visitors.
Our discrete security guards care for your safety during your visit – this begins when you arrive, with the bag search in the entrance area. You can make your contribution by refraining from bringing items with you which could endanger safety, especially not with bottles and cans. Otherwise these items will be disposed without any right of return or compensation.
Amongst these items are:
- Food and drinks
- Scooters, bicycles, skateboards, prams and pushchairs, cases, trolleys, etc.
- Weapons and dangerous materials such as fireworks etc.
- Animals
Of course, partially sighted visitors can bring their guide dogs with them in the tower! In order to be able to guarantee the safety of ALL our visitors in the event of an emergency evacuation, due to the building constraints that exist in the Television Tower we are regrettably unable to permit entrance to those in wheelchairs or to people with acute walking difficulties, i.e. those who need physical assistance or crutches. Mobility disabled visitors should bear in mind that, in the case of an evacuation, they must climb down 986 steps. Children under 14 years old are only allowed to enter the tower when accompanied by an adult.
A last word on the subject of fire prevention: Naturally in the entire building of the Berlin TV tower there is a strict ban on smoking! Finally, we ask you to keep hold of your ticket during your entire visit as you will also need it when you leave the TV tower.
You can find the accurate, legally binding safety regulations in our General Terms & Conditions.
