Location plan & directions

This is how you get to, get in, and get up the tower

On this page we would like to give you some helpful tips for your visit to the Berlin TV tower:

To the tower

If you want to use public transport, please take the following services to Alexanderplatz.

Bus: TXL, M48, 100, 200, 248, N5, N8
Suburban railway (S-Bahn): S5, S7, S75, S9
Underground (U-Bahn): U2, U5, U8
Tram: M4, M5, M6
Local railway (Regionalbahn): RE1, RE2, RE7, RB14

If you want to drive to the tower with your car, take a look at the Location plan. On this the parking options are also indicated.

In the tower

The steps to the entrance of the tower are directly opposite the Alexanderplatz suburban railway (S-Bahn) station on the north side of the tower. You can find help with your orientation from the Detail plan, where the entrance to the tower is indicated.

By the way, you can print the Detail plan as well as the Location plan.

Up the tower

This is now really easy: After you have purchased your ticket at the kiosk or through the Internet and your ticket number appears on the indicator board in green, you pass through the turnstile, swiftly go through the safety check and then you make your way directly to the elevator. This will bring you up to the observation platform in approx. 40 seconds, in which the Bar is also situated. 21 steps higher and you will reach the Restaurant, which rotates on its axis once every 30 minutes or 60 minutes and thus provides you with a ‘sightseeing tour’ of the most extraordinary kind. We would strongly recommend you make a table reservation, because otherwise you could have to wait for some time for a table.
